Intermolecular Forces

If this molecule was bonded to itself the intermolecular forces that would be sent are:

London Dispersion Forces: It has a temporaray dipole direct effect of eectron motion in molecule.


Dipole-Dipole: SF4 is a polar molecule. This attraction between two dipoles is like an ionic bond, but muc weaker. It is stronge than dispersion forces. The positive end of one dipole is attracted to the negative end of the other dipole.


 There are no hydrogen bonds because there are no hydrogen molecules.
